  1. Tom Reilly, Inohercron, Kingscourt, Co Cavan has the cure for a sprain. It was handed down from one person in his family to another. He says prayers over the sprain.
    Frank Rodgers, a mendicant, had the cure of toothache.
    "Pull ten gooseberry thorns, rub nine of them to the eye for three successive mornings, and throw the tenth one away" is the cure for a stye.
    John Tierney, Coroneary, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan had the cure of the "dirty mouth". He was a posthumous child. He breathed into the patients ear for three successive mornings, whilst fasting.
    George Pringle, Tierworker, Co Meath, had the cure of jaundice.
    .................................... Kingscourt, Co Cavan could stop a bleeding by saying certain prayers. He got the cure from his father.
    Bernard Fleming, Condagh, Kingscourt, Co Cavan has the cure of a sprain. He visits the patients house and rubs his hand three times on the affected part and says some prayers
