    contain any treasure but a large number of rusty nails. If she had not told her daughter about her dream she might have found the right crock. She gave up the search then and neither of them lived long afterwards.
    The second attempt was made by a man. He started one early morning to set potatoes right beside the fort but he was really serching for the treasure. He found the gold, which was vallued for about five thousand pounds. He bought a farm with some of the money, and every animal be put on it died. The man died in a few days, and the potatoes were never dug, and no one else every laboured that field after. It is all ferns now.
    There were also a few soverings unearthed in that district since that.
