  1. There is a well situated about a quarter of a mile outside Ballyjamesduff in the district of Cornahilt. Its name is Katie George's well. It got its name from a woman named Katie George.
    She lived beside the well and she said that she owned it. So she said that she would not let anyone near the well. If she caught any person near it she would Summons them. She died about six years ago.
    So that is why it was called Katie Georges well.
