    cackling and picking their wings in order to fly across the sea.
    The swallow builds it's nest inside old walls or inside in an old house. Its nest is built of mortar, hair, and straw. It lays five little eggs, and hatches them for about three weeks. The colour of the eggs is black and white.
    People around my district say, when swallows fly high that is the sign of good weather, and when they fly low people say, that is the sign of rain.
    My father told me, that when Our Lord was dying on the cross, that a robin rested on His head, and began pulling out a thorn. It happened that a drop of blood fell on it's breast, and that is why every robin has a red breast.
