    there for education. It was Mr. Regan that taught in it. He taught mostly all English in it. The Clonreddan children brought a sod of turf under their arms every morning during the Winter for a fire. The teacher's pay was very small. He died in 1870 and was buried in Kilmacduane graveyard.

  2. There is in Clonreddan a man able to make baskets scuttles and brushes. He would pick small ozior rods for the baskets. The neighbours would buy them for sixpence. He made them for his own use also. He used make the brushes from horse's hair and used stick it on with tar.
