  2. There is in Clonreddan a man able to make baskets scuttles and brushes. He would pick small ozior rods for the baskets. The neighbours would buy them for sixpence. He made them for his own use also. He used make the brushes from horse's hair and used stick it on with tar.

  3. Tá dhá páirceanna i bhfeirm m'athar go bhfuil ainmneacha Gaedhilge ortha; "An Ré" agus "an Riascac." Is é an fáth gur glaodhadh an ainm "An Ré" ar na go raibh sé réidh agus ni raibh aon cnoc ann. Is é an fáth gur glaodhadh an Riascac ar na gceann eile ná go raibh alán luacra ag fás ann.
