  1. Before Lent and Advent marriages occur mostly. Thursdays and Fridays of the week are thought unlucky to marry. The month of May is an unlucky month to marry. Matches are made in my district. I never heard of marriages taking place in the houses of people. A wedding feast is held. Straw boys visit the wedding house. They boys are dressed in straw on their arms and legs and they have false faces. I never heard of people riding home on horses from their wedding.
