  1. There are not many old ruins in my district. But there is one near my townland. It was once an old abbey, and it is very high. There is a big door half way up the building. It is said the monks called the franciscan monks taught in it long ago.
    It is a very interesting building, and it is of a great height. It is situated in the town of Cavan facing a very backward street. There is nothing left now, save the bare walls covered with ivy and moss.
