The Butter-fly cages are made of rushes. The rushes are placed between the fingers and interwoven to form a kind of box.
"Skippers" are made from "sally-rods" or rushes plaited together. The children use them for skipping as other children use ropes.
"See-saw" another game - by placing a plank across a ditch or height and a number of children sit on each end. This game is also played on a cart - two children sit on the end shafts and one sits on the "back-band" between the front shafts or often stands with his arms resting on the shafts. Then they swing up and down with the cart.
