    tallow. The mould was then left in a cold place to let the candle harden, it was then taken out. They made bunches of these at a time. They were hung up in roofs of houses drying. These candles were called "Tallow Candles". They had a kind of yellowish colour, like the wax candles we have now. They were better than the candles we have now, but they had a bad smell when they were burning.
