Many years ago there was a skeough growing on a ditch in Turrow.

Many years ago there was a skeough growing on a ditch in Turrow. It was a fairy skeough, and very big. One evening a farmer and his son came to cut it. They cut it, and when they had it cut, there was a large hole in the middle. The farmer said to the son, "put down your hand and see what is in it". He put down his hand and he found a pan of gold. They brought it home and when they got up next morning the pan was full of fairies.
