There was a man living in Ballycrinegan and his name was Simon Foley. One bright night he was coming across the bogs, it was very bright and when he was passing by a bush a hare ran out by him he ran after the hare and he was able to pass the hare and get before him to the den. As the hare was going in to his den he had him caught by the hine leg and then he killed him and brought him home for his dinner. 'Tis said that he was the swiftest man in Ballycrinegan. There is another story which i am going to tell you is about the best singer's in Ballycrinegan was the Tynan's they were able to play an organ, a piano, accordion, a fiddle, and they were able to make alot of old comic song's.
