About sixty years ago, there was a tug of war match, between Borris, and Ballymurphy. This match was held in Borris, and none of them could get the better, of one another. They kept pulling, and pulling, until they had themselves, nearly killed, but there was a very big stout man looking at them. He said, he would pull all the men together. They all joined together, and he pulled them out of the field.
