  1. Hedge Schools
    There was a hedge school in Corolanty in my father's field. The school was in the hedge.
    The subjects were sums, geography, reading and spellings. The way the teachers were paid the children used to give them a penny each every year.
    They used to take a sod of turf each for firing. The seats they had were pieces of boards with stones under them.
