A popular tree was planted over his grave which is known to be the biggest tree in Shinrone. An inquest was held over him and no one knew and no one could identify him.

  2. In the year 1924 in the village of Shinrone Hugh Cary was heard shouting for help fire, fire, blood, and murder. A fire had broke out at the lower end of Shinrone in Treacys house people were seen rushing from every house with buckets and cans to save the house.
