  1. The Ballyhogue Hurling Team.
    Ballyhogue and Davidstown,
I know you dont feel sad,
You haven't got to tell your Gaelic friends,
    The "Starlights" beat you bad,
    ii
    On the eighteenth of September,
Sure it is well I remember,
    When the "Starlights" and Ballyhogue,
Played a draw near Ferns town.
    iii
    The hurling was great,
And the crowd it was good,
    And they all got home,
    The best they could.
    iv
    And now to conclude,
    And to finish my song,
    There will be a meeting,
    Again before long,
    With more courage and might,
    And blood in their veins,
There will be a meeting again
    Good luck to the Gaels.
