  1. A Collection of Prayers. April 13th, 1938.
A Prayer to the Infant Jesus
Dear Jesus teach me to be generous with thee.
Teach me to serve thee as thou deserves,
To give and not to count the cost,
To fight and not to heed the wounds,
To toil and not to seek for rest,
To labour and not to seek for any rewards,
Save that of knowing that I do thy will.

    A Prayer
Crucified Jesus have mercy on me,
My soul and body I give to thee,
The five bleeding wounds nailed to the tree,
Merciful Jesus have mercy on me.

Jesus the branch and Mary the flower,
Jesus and Mary be with me in my dying hour.

Infant Jesus meek and mild, look on me a little child,
Pity mine and pity me, and suffer me to come to thee.
Heart of Jesus I adore, Heart of Mary I implore,
Heart of Joseph, pure and just and in these three hearts I put my trust.
    John Dempsey, Wells, Gorey.
