  1. Fairy Forts, June 1st, 1938.
There is a fairy fort in this school district. It is in Mr Murphy's field. it is called a fort. It is in the townland of Court. it is circular in shape. There is an entrance hole in the centre. The "Danes" were supposed to have built them. Fairy people are supposed to live in them. Fairies have been seen in these forts. There are lights seen in the forts and the fairies have been heard dancing and singing. No one ever went in to this fort because they said the fairies would be after them. There was a man coming home late one night and he saw lights in the fort. He went over to it and the lights disappeared and he could see nothing and he could not get out of the field until the morning.
