Mrs Doran of Ballyadam (aged 58) tells us that a family named Francis lived in the house where her family now live, and that in his day there were up to 50 men employed at Boltons(?) of the Island (a neighbouring gentleman's place), also over 50 at Mr Doyne's of Wells and Cremore, and that there(continues on next page) - Collector
