She had a crew of 32 and bound from Liverpool to New York.
The Captain's name was Merrow or Merrie and John & Henry Blair were his quartermasters.
Only six of the crew and one solitary passenger a William Taylor, a native of New Ross were saved
It is stated that the Captain is buried at a place named Ard Colum, a few miles to the South of Kilmuckridge.
The Ships doctor and the bodies of John & Henry Blair are buried in Ballyvalloo cemetery near Blackwater which is five miles from here.
The remarkable thing about this wreck, is that it all happened in a Calm day
