- A Holy Well
There are at least four holy wells in this district, but this is the account of one that is very little known. There is no history attached to it beyond the few words I have got from the owner of the land in which it is situated.
The present owner Mr. Michael Daly, came into possession of the farm about 10 yrs ago. It is situated in a place called Kilreisk, near the residence of Mr. Robert Dmohoe.
It is not quire certain to what Saint the holy well is dedicated, but it is believed to be to St. Briged.
