  1. In the year 1909, ther was a man of the name of Connie Cooke drowned in Lake Sheelin. As he and other men were crossing the lake to Finea, he was drowned.
    They reached the other side of the lake alright and it happened that Connie was the last to get out of the boat. So he had to tie it to the post. The other men went on without him.
    When they had gone some distance they looked back to see if Connie was coming. But there was no sign of him. They then went back to look for him but could not find him. Then they went out in the boat to look for him. They searched all day but couldn't find him. It was dark when they came out of the boat, they looked out on the lake and they saw a
