  1. Long ago made their houses out of clay. There was one room and the fire was at the gable wall. The chimney was made of boards. They had no crane crook but instead they had a harrow pin driven in the wall and a chain hanging down from it. They had a little lamp made of tin and a wick stuck in it. The bed was in the corner.
