  1. About sixty or seventy years ago John Kiernan of Gaigue was leaving a man named James Loughrey of Greagh a bit of the way home. They had to go over Cornawn Bawn, but when they got as far as it they were brought astray. They were travelling through fields and crossing high ditches for hours and at last they found themselves beside a turf rick and they decided to stay there until daylight. When the light came they found themselves standing up to a turf rick at Paddy Dolans of Kilty creevagh.
