  1. An old School
About 70 years ago there stood a school in a townland called Glenmore. It was a National school and it fell into bad repair and then it was tossed and a new one built in Edenmore. The head teacher was Master Doyle and one of his assistants was a boy named Reynolds from Annagh and Peter Sheridan from Corinagh was a monitor. There were no Female teachers at this time and those were all paid by the government. Reading, writing and arithmetic were all that were taught in this school.
