  1. About ninety years ago there lived a man one and a half miles from Kenagh. His name was John Bodell. He left his home one morning to foot turf in Mosstown bog. On leaving he told his wife he would be home at one o'clock for dinner. He returned sooner than his wife expected. She said, "Oh John, you got your work finished early." "Well", he said, "a lot of little fairies came up to me and said we will put up a footing for John Bodell.
