  1. About fifty years ago, there lived in Ardohill a man named Kiffcart. This man was a great unbeliever and was very good to all Protestants. He never gave the house to anyone only one of his own sort. He was having a great walk one day and he got drowned in the turn hole in the fattening park. He was very much missed by the old people at that time. When a catholic family came to live in the house they were haunted by him. He used to break everything in the house at night, until the people found out what he was looking for her. So those people used to have to set the table at bedtime and leave the tea drawing for him. For many years after this they used to have to do the same thing every night. So through time all this died away and there is nothing about Kiffcart now.
