  1. About ninety years ago there was a row of small houses leading from the entrance of Mosstown demesne to the new road. It is said that an old lady named Mollie Moss lived in one of those houses. This old lady died, and neighbours who lived round there said that she used to appear to them. It is aid that the place where she used to appear to them, was called the Black - gap, and ever since it is said there is a ghost to be seen at the Black - gap.
