  1. Once St. Patrick was coming from Athlone to Mullingar. When he was crossing a river at Annagh the horse tripped and the Saint was flung over his head on a rock in front of the horse.
    The track of the Saint's knee still remains in the rock which is in Dillons field beside the Annagh Crossroads.
    Long ago people used to go there if they had any work and on leaving some thing there they would be cured.
