  1. A Saint Brigid's cross is made on the 1st February. It is called a "Brídóg".
The man of the house makes it with rushes, which are woven together.
In every house at Christmas the house is decorated with holly. Also on May Day a white thorn bush is decorated with flowers and coloured cloths and egg shells. On palm Sunday palm is hung up in the house and also over the doors of the houses and out-houses.
There is a well called "Toban Pádraic" in Reynaun and the water from it is supposed to cure warts. The clay from Saint Ciaran's grave in Clonmacnoise cures toothaches and headaches
