  1. Once St. Patrick met a witch on the hill of Uisneach. She was practising black magic. St. Patrick banished her away from the hill of Uisneach and sent her to the lake of Derravaragh and she never returned.
    The midnight hunt is said to come across the hill of Uisneach at midnight. It crosses to the hill of Carne, and you can easily hear the cry of the hounds, and the master calling them, and the fox is never captured. He usually gets lost.
