    You always put down thirteen eggs on a setting of duck or hen eggs. Three eggs are a setting of geese eggs. You put them down on a Friday night in the cupboard of the dresser. If there is thunder while hatching always put irons in the fire so that the noise will not kill the birds.
    Never lend a clocking hen. If you do the person who borrows must give you a penny.
