  1. There is a crossroads at the end of the town which is on the main road from Dublin to Galway and it goes to Dangan.
    In the centre of the village is a crossroads. One of the roads is also the main road from Dublin to Galway, and the other one leads to Mullingar. There is a very noted crossroads at the Turnpike here in the village. There were gates there in olden days and you would have to pay a half penny to pass with a horse and cart.
