  1. The road from the hill of Rathwire down by the Parochial House and Curristown was said to be haunted years ago.
    The moat dog already mentioned was the terror in the village of Rathwire.
    A little woman was supposed to go across by the passway to the Killucan road which is called the "Double Ditch".
    There was a big tree at the cross roads near the priests house and a man was to be seen there.
    I heard that some years ago when the road was being widered and the tree was cut down that human bones were found.
    Anyway there is nothing heard
