- (continued from previous page)Instead of leaving the colcannon at the fort he got a pick and a spade and began to dig at the fort, thinking he would get all the treasures his uncle used to get. He dug for days, but got nothing. He was so dissapointed that he went to Delvin and drunk all he had. When he was coming home a short cut through Clongn called the ladie's walk, he met twenty or thirty little men carrying a large box on their shoulders. They called to help them. Donnacdha put his shoulder under the box and he nearly died with the weight of it. The more he would try to get rid of it, the more it would stick to him, until they landed at Cornnúa again. Donnacdha said he would like to see what was in the box after carrying it so far. They opened the box and there he saw all the jewels his Uncles used to get. He tried to take them, but when he put his hand into the box a large cat jumped out of the box and scraped the face of him. He died soon after-wards he died, and that was the last of the Leavy's and Cornúa is still there and will be until the end of time.
