  1. The Marquis of Conyngham was the landlord in this district. He was a very good landlord to his tenants. Anyone who made an effort to pay their rent could stop in the house but anyone who made no effort would be put out.
He had a sub landlord and he lived at Castle park. He was a very bad man and always tried to put everyone out of their houses. He wanted English people to get the houses because he was an English man himself.
When the Marquis of Conyngham saw what was going on he sacked him and got another sub landlord.
