  1. Caserley lived in the house occupied by Bradys. There were we are told some 40 houses here.

    5) The Crocán:-
This village also was along the same old Rd. towards Everards. The last was occupied by people called Mulraney.

(VI) The Barrack or Barrack Yard:-
This Village was situated midway between the last two in Michael Bennets land. There were some 40 families living here and the village contained a tavern known as the "Hand & Arm". The husbands name we are told was HAND and his wife's name was Armstrong so the name "Hand & Arm" was the name given to the tavern. A barrack was also stationed here. It used also be a stop for the mail-coach.
(VII) There is said to have been a hamlet in Windlawn in James Kearney's Land There is a field called Kassoc or Kassoge and some Gaelic Scholars living near by say the name came probably from "Cnusac" ?.

    (VIII) Crolloge:-
In Harristown. This was the property of Lord Mayo. There were but 3 houses left 50 years ago and one now.
