One day during the time when England ruled Ireland a young poor lad who had nothing to eat....

One day during the time when England ruled Ireland a poor lad who had nothing to eat was walking along the country road. As he neared a stream he saw a duck a duck and after a while he caught it. He brought it home to his mother and had it for their dinner In the evening a body of soldiers came to the house and took the son to Millmount
There was at that time a high-way man who robbed the rich and gave it to the poor This man met the woman and saw her weeping. He inquired what was wrong with her. She related her sad story to the high-way man and he was very sorry for her.
He went to Millmount Barracks and said that he was to bring the prisoner to Dublin. He also asked for the prisoner. He then set out in the direction of Dublin but as soon as he was out of sight he returned the boy to his mother and also gave her some money
