The earliest teachers as far as I can trace were a man named Sheridan who was succeeded by Mr. Nulty and then a Mr. Hardy who was from the parish of Tenure.
Later Francis Cullen taught from 1.1.71 to be succeed by Ellen Clarke afterwards Mrs Lyons mother of Rgt Rev. Monsg Lyons P.P. Ardee later of Drogheda, now Bishop of Kilmore. Miss Ellen Byrne was the next teacher from 20.6.87 to Sept., 1902 to be succeeded by the present teacher Mrs. Margt., Donegan nee Flanagan. who was appointed here on 8th Sept., 1902.
As Margt. Flanagan I was appointed Monitress in Calystown Girls School, Clogherhead, Co. Louth.
