A large wood is attached to Beaulieu and contains valuable trees, wild flowers and ferns in abundance.
Nestling along this wood to the south are some pretty villas. Queensboro' is the name of this place and in its centre was formerly a Coast Guard Station - a real novelty in the neighbourhood. It was unfortunately destroyed by fire during the trouble in June 1922.
The Coast Guard used to hail the ships going up the Boyne to Drogheda by the salutation "Ship-a-hoy". "Where are you bound from?" etc; etc;
