  2. Local poets
    There was a poet living in Lower Reaghstown by the name of William Filgate, he made a poem called 'The lady of the lake'
    There was another poet by the name of William Manning, he lived in Ardee bog, he made a poem about the Boer War and he made another about 'Ardee bog road'. He died about thirty years ago. There was another poet called Michael O'Neill who made a poem about a rat, he said he was talking to a rat in the poem
