Built 1210. King John was once a prisoner there, & there is a tunnel across Carlingford Lough to Red House in Co. Down. There are also other small tunnels to dungeons in the Harbour. Once attacked by Cromwell and roof was blown off. King John was captured and shot.St. Malachy's Abbey
