Ar an leathanach seo

  1. The Blessed Well named Toberscrivaun is in the townland of Knockalehid but the latter name, though the official one, is never heard among the people of the locality or for that matter not heard from anybody.
    The place is known by the name Clondegad.
    How did it acquire this name? According to local tradition it got it in this way.
    At Toberscrivaun there lived two saints, Scribhán and Credán. For years they had lived together like loving brothers but the time came when they agreed that it was only right that one of them should give his name to the well.
    Like Gedeon of Biblical fame they decided to ask God to settle the question for them.
    They decided that each of them should bless a gad, that then they would pray to
