  2. Dan Breen who was a native of Donohill was our greatest local hero. He joined the I.R.A. at a young age and went heart and soul into the movement and led an active career during the Anglo-Irish War. He was a comrade of Seán Tracey who spent his early years in Hollyford in Anacarty parish.
    Dan Breen was a daring soldier and risked his life again and again
