    Geoffrey Keating a priest, and also a poet, was a native of Ballylooby beyond Cahir.

    Geoffrey Keating a priest, and also a poet, was a native of Ballylooby beyond Cahir. He was born near towards the close of the 16th century.
    He was educated in a college in Dublin, but finished his education in France. On his return to Ireland he became curate (in a parish near Cahir). He became a good preacher. In one case a lady who was listening to his sermon thought he was referring to her. After some time some
