  1. The name of the place in which I live is Killoskehan. There was a Monastery in this place and there were some monks in it. The name of one of the monks was Shehan.
When Cromwell's soldiers were trying to exterminate the Catholics of Ireland they went into the Monastery. Some of the monks escaped among those that didn't escape was Skehan. They took him and hanged him on a tree. The tree though tumbled is there yet.
Dawson's Bog is the name of a place in Curreeny. The man from whom it got its name is still living.
