  1. One day Fionn Mc Cumhaill was standing on the top of the Devil's Bit with Conan Maol.
Conan Maol was a funny man and he said, "The gap would be a fine jump." Fionn said "It would." Conan walked back to take a run. He ran and when he came to the edge instead of jumping forward he jumped backwards, started to laugh and walked back to take a longer run.
When he looked around there was no sign of Fionn. He was on the other side. He had leaped across in a standing jump while Conan's back was turned.
