  1. When you are making a rush hat, go out into a field and pick a number of long rushes.
    First get about nine or ten very long rushes and have them the same length. Then make the band of the hat.
    When you have the band made you get some more rushes and join them to it.
    After you have that done, tie the top of the hat and it is made.
