  2. There is a fort at the little bridge on the lands of Mrs Ryan Clohoan. It is said that the O'Kennedy chieftains lived there long ago. Forts are hardly ever tilled and bushes are seldom cut in them as the fairies are said to the have lived in them one time.
    There was a fort where Templederry Church now stands. our grandfathers often played there long ago.
