  1. In Penal times there was Mass said beside a Rock in Bernard Kennedy's farm in Ballyhane. That Rock is still to be seen and there is a cross on it.
    There was also Mass said at the Blessed Well in Patrick Lee's field on the side of Ballincarra Hill. Over that well there is an old "?" bush growing still.

  2. If you have a toothache it can be cured by putting a frog into your mouth and touching the tooth three times with it. Another cure for a toothache is to get a bone of a dead person from a grave in a churchyard and rub it to the tooth
